A shift in how Southeast Asia learns mathematics.

CS Inspiration was founded in 2022. Harry grew up in Vietnam and now studies at Deerfield Academy in the United States. The gap between the two systems is what made the work necessary.

In Southeast Asian classrooms, mathematics is taught as a fixed body of rules to memorize for national exams. Almost no class time is spent on argument, dialogue, or reasoning from first principles. The line that runs from Plato and Aristotle through the Socratic method is built around exactly that. CS Inspiration is the attempt to bring that reasoning tradition East, using mathematics and learning infrastructure as the vehicles.

The first program was Numbers to Networks, a field program that goes into public schools and teaches inquiry-based mathematical reasoning directly. The work expanded as the problem got clearer. Maths4Threads addresses access by giving every student a free browser-based platform where every 3 correct answers convert to one verified clothing donation. VietAlpha addresses research and policy by building Vietnam's first mathematics dataset aligned to the Ministry of Education and Training. The CSI Impact Fund covers what happens after the classroom, by investing returns into the students who graduate out of the programs.

Each program addresses a different layer of the same problem. Together they form a pipeline from the classroom to the government.
